I am 6 months out and am down 95 pounds. I can eat pretty much anything I want, however I am having REALLY bad problems with going to the bathroom. I know, not something anyone really wants to talk about. I am told that I have a skin tag on my rear-end which has become extremely irritated with all of the bathroom issues since the surgery. Dr. Oakley has prescribed anusol-HC cream and anucort suppositories to use 2 times a day. I have been using these prescriptions for 4 months and counting now, and it seems like it is the worst it has ever been!! I am at a loss as to what to do, I don't want to live the rest of my life this way using creams and suppositories!!! If I could just get this problem cleared up, I would feel wonderful! Dr. Oakley has talked about 'clipping' the skin tag, which he doesn't sound so convinced about. He says that doing that would leave an open wound which would be subject to infection. Doesn't look like I have many options at this point. Has anyone out there had any problem like this? If so, please help with any suggestions. I have actually thought about having the malabsorption part of the surgery reversed if this does not get any better.

April, Are you constipated? Wasn't sure from the post if it was that or diahhrea that you are having problems with. I found as long as I get fresh fruit or veggies in my diet each day I'm as regular as clock work. Hope you find some solutions soon. You might ask if they clip the skin tag, can it be cautorized (spelled wrong) which would seal it? Mary

Thanks for responding Mary. No, I am not constipated, I am as regular as clockwork 3-4 times a day. However, I think the problem is the acidity. I am currently on Nexium to help with heartburn which should also be helping with the acidity levels. April
