Do You think I'll make it into a size 10 by Christmas?
LOL
I did my trying of clothes this moring. (since hubby was at work and I had the room to myself) All my 14 pants fit!!! Yeah!!!, but I'm wondering how long it will take to get into my smaller sizes. I sent a pair of 20 black velvet jeans back to QVC before I had my surgery and swapped them for a 10. I was sure hoping to be in them for our winter parties and such. I wonder if I should swap them for a 12? I haven't lost but 2 lbs so far this month, but am definitely in Larges. My XL capri overalls look ridiculous. I will be giving them to my sister.
I think I'm going to order myself some kind of exercise equipment. I like those gliders. (had one once and used it a lot, until one of my boys broke it)
Oh, I ordered a red leather purse today and a black leather jacket. I wouldn't have dreamed of drawing attention to myself last winter with a *red* purse, but I'm ready for a little fun.
Hugs,

Hi Debbie,
Now, I'm no clothing expert. Certainly not the small sizes - never had any experience outside of "women's" sizes. But, I think with the smaller sizes change with each 10 pounds lost as compared to 25 pounds for larger sizes. Of course this could be yet another old wives tales my mom told me growing up! Going by my mama's rule, if you are comfortable in size 14 you should fit in 10 in about 20 pounds. There are not quite 4 months until Christmas. Boy, it's hard to say. If you got size 12 you wouldn't have to worry and you probably would want to wear them after right after Thanksgiving. I've been losing soo slow. Personally, I would go for the 12 to be safe and not set myself up for faillure.
Please, I hope no one bursts my bubble about my mom - she just turned 90! But, I remember I didn't lose enough for my 8th grade outfit or 12th grade either. Makes me think. Hmm
Great weight loss thus far. Paula
Way to go Debbie,
You should be proud of yourself!!! A big accomplishment. It is nice to get smaller clothes you feel so good

. Just keep thinking positive and good thinkgs will follow. I am sure you will be able to fit in the size you
want. Red is a great color and it says hey look at me!!
Keep up the good work!
Best wishes Jill

Hey Debbie,
I believe we can all do anything we set our hearts and minds on (especially now that we have some help with losing weight). I don't think it's an unreachable goal. Why settle for the 12 and then have to send them back again to get the 10's? I believe in you. It really is easier to get into the smaller sizes once you are where you're at. It was just a month or so ago that I was in 14's, so I still think you'll be just fine by party time.

Debbie,
I think you will be a 10 if that is where you set your goal! I hope to be a 14 by Thanksgiving. I wear a size 18 now and some 16 stuff. The 18s are getting really loose now ao I think I will be able to reach that goal.
I applaud you for getting a red purse - I have always wanted red shoes but never wanted to draw attention to myself.

You will be surprized how quickly the sizes change!! I was "stuck" at sz 14 for a long time...then I almost bypassed size 12, and went to size 10. I would think that you will fit right into those jeans by Christmas time!!
