6 months out
I am 6 months out Aug 17 .I have had most of the complications that go with this surgery , ulcers , twisted bowel, strictures , now heart problems . "I olny hope things start going in a better direction now rather like they have been going . I have lost a 124lbs so far 98lbs since my surgery . I had a freind who had this done in Dec 03 Jesi P , I have lost touch with her now i just wish I had some one to talk with . Big hugs coming your way. My SIL had major complications right after surgery and it was so hard at that point for her. Now over a year out, she has no regrets.
Please come here and share. We do care and want the best for you. We all need others to lean on at times too. Do you have a local support group that you attend? They really are great and have been an important part of my recovery.
Also if you are over 50, there is a great over 50 message board that I participate in too. GReat group of people. You might also find others close by you in the state board for you. I know the CA board is very active and has lots of get togethers for the group. So be sure to check out the message board for you group.

I'm with Denise and Mary, this is a great board. We are always here to listen and help as much as we can. I look on the main board, but rarely post there. I like it here, and we get to know each other pretty well.
Stick around a while and you'll see. Some of us have had loads of trouble and others have breezed through, but we are all supportive. Take some time to get to know us and I think you'll be happy here.
