Congrats on your anniversary! I know you've struggled with your weight loss, but you've also had much more than that to deal with. The added stress has very likely made it harder to lose.
Not much else we can do at this point but just keep going. I think of you often and hope things are looking up for you. Try to remember that the losses are going to be much slower now anyway. I think you're still doing fine, so be patient with yourself. It won't happen any faster if you fret, so PLEASE allow yourself to be human and let your body adjust as it sees fit.
Also remember that we care!

I am also 6 months out and have lost a total of 70 pounds. When I read about people that have already lost 100 pounds I get a little discouraged BUT then I rmember where I was a year ago. I could barely walk from the car into a store or play on the floor with my grandchildren. 59 pounds is sooo great. Thats 12 5pound bags opf sugar gone. YEA for you.

Congratulations Katherine, you are doing GREAT!!!! I've lost 59 lbs since surgery too and 50 lbs before for a total of 109 lbs. So you and I are on the same track with weight loss post-op. My surgeon said 2 to 3 lbs per week on the average so we both are on track with his plan. Don't get discouraged, be elated on all that you have accomplished and the fact that with this "tool" the loss can be permanent. I sure could never say that pre-op.
I think they refer to 300 and under as a light weight because there are so many who 400, 500, and up having this surgery so people who are 300 and less are on the lighter end of the scale in comparison.

Have you had a body fat analysis done? I was having a hard time with the fact that my weight loss seemed slower than everyone else and I had a before and after body fat analysis done. I have dropped my fat percentage drastically and built my lean tissue/muscle mass. Muscle and lean tissue weigh more than fat so even though my overall weight has not changed as much as I would like I am a much healthier proportion. I know with as much as you exercise and walk that you are probably in the same category. I bet your body has changed even if the scales do not reflect what you think it should.
