It's been a long 6 months and down 71 pounds. Feel great, but have to get back on the exercise wagon. The hair loss is the most depressing.

I've been losing hair the last two months, think it may be slowing down. Congratulations on your weight loss too, that is great. Mary

sounds like you are doing great. My hair loss is pretty much over, meaning, I am not loosing it as much. My heaviest loss of hair was from about 4 to 5 1/2 months out. Denise

Good going on the WL. I started noticing hair loss at 2.5 months out and it quit sometime last month. I kind of like not having as much hair to dry right now. LOL Although I had hair to spare for two people. I wonder if it will ever look as healthy as it once did pre op? Debbie

Mine is still falling out, started in mid-June. Finally got it all cut off last night, so it feels weird (lighter). The hair quality is definitely different. My hairdresser pointed out to me all the new growth -- all the tiny spiky greys coming through my color! Had to cover them up! LOL!

I'm apparently the poster child for major hair loss. Started early in my 3rd month, and while it's slower, it's still falling out and I'm 6.5 months out. No new growth in sight; Big sigh......... I checked on the main board and got wonderful replys, some saying that they lost hair for as long as 8 months but that it came back in. Fortunately, I haven't found ANYONE whose hair disappeared permanently. Otherwise, life is very, very good and I'd still do it again.
