Hello All, Today It has been six months since my wls. I fell short of my personal goal for my weight loss but exceeded what my surgeon expected. So all in all I am very happy. I started out on this journey at 340 pounds and I am weighing in at 214 as of today. Although I have had a few bumps her an there this has been pretty easy so far. I get my protien and take my vitamin's . I fight with myself not to fall back into old habits. however I do slip now and then. The occassional soda and a few chips here and there. I don't exercise like I want to.I still use the same excuses, my only exercise Is walking back and forth to work.Granted its close to 4 miles a day but I still feel I should be using this tool to it's fullest. So I am gonna push myself to start a few exercises here at home every morning. My life is so much better now compared to six months ago. I have my self esteem back , I am physically healthier. I am currently in a wonderful relationship with a man *****spects me and cherishes me. He supports me in everything I do. Well I am posting some new pics of me today . I don't see much changes as other's say they do but I sure feel the differences . I wish everyone much success and happiness on there journey . God Bless & Take Care, Trisha

Congratulations, Trisha! I am right behind you......my 6 months are up on the 25th, (Wednesday). Down 59 pounds, excersizing like a junkie instead of eating like one is kinda cool! It just leaves you pooped! Much love, Katherine the Pooped Feb 25, 2004 274/215/????

Great Job Trisha --- Just noticed that you live in Lakewood too!!! Just moved here from Baltimore. I had my surgery in February of this year. Do you attend any support groups in the area?

Trisha, Congratulations, you have done GREAt. Yes, the process is quite a journey of learning and breaking all habits. It all takes time, but you have come so far and are a real success. I had problems seeing the changes in myself too UNTIL I compared my pre-op to my most current photos ... then I could see what they saw. Isn't it great to have much better health. Such a blessing.
