Kim, Once I got the go-ahead from my surgeon to begin with my vitamins and supplements I added Zinc into the mix. Zinc was suggested to me to help minimize hair loss. Around May/June, I noticed more hair loss than usual in the drain after my shower each morning. I added in the supplement Biotin (good for nails and hair) and the hair loss seemed to slow down a bit. I'm blessed with very thick hair, so the loss wasn't noticeable to anyone, even my stylist! But over the past 3 weeks, or so the hair loss has gone back to my usual, some days none at all, so I think I'm past that point, and I've noticed new hair growing along my hair line. I love that fine baby hair! If you aren't taking Zinc or Biotin you may want to add it in!

My hair loss I believe started at 4 months and at almost 6 months seems to be slowly down. I have very thin hair to begin with and I think it is noticeable but my hubby says no. No one else has mentioned it, so I hoe he is right. When I had my gall bladder out years ago, I lost hair in clumps after the surgery. I was told that it was a reaction to the anethesia they used. It stops about 2 months after surgery. With WLS, no hair loss right after surgery. It didn't start until 4 months. Mary
