It finally happened!!!

Thank you to all of you for your support and encouragement! I finally am back on the loosing side. I woke up this morning and weighed in and the scale finally moved for me!!! I'm down 82lbs now!!! Wooo Hoooo!!!! I went for my 6 month check up yesterday and all is well there. The doctor is very happy with my progress! I discussed with him my platue and his advise to me was to stop it.... Gee, thanks! Anyway, last week I went on an internet search for ways that I could help myself and I found that the biggest thing that I've been doing wrong is eating 6 small meals a day. We should only be eating 3 meals a day with no snacking!!!!! That's what we singed up for!! Somewhere along the line I was told to eat 6 small meals, but that must have only been for the first couple of months! No one told me I was supposed to stop! I also think that I was eating to many carbs. I also learned that a good way to curb any hunger that you think you might have is to "water load" your pouch. You have to be drinking water for a while before this will work, 15 minutes before you eat, drink a large volume of water as fast as you can, this will give you a full sensation (keeping you from eating too much) and keep you feeling full for up to 25 minutes. It works and helps me whenever I think I want to snack (since I got myself into that habbit). Try it, it might work for you too!!! Thanks again for all of your support and encouraging words!!! Congratulations. You are doing great too. So many successes here. I do 5 small meals a day, but it is the only way I can get all the protein in. I'm still losing so think I will be OK. Mary
