I haven't posted for a few weeks but had to share that I hit 100 pounds this morning!! I weigh on mondays and I was at -99. I made myself wait until this morning and if the scale had not changed I would consider it a done deal and the scale CANNOT TAKE IT BACK My 6 month will be on the 23rd of this month. I need to call my PCP to schedule the blood tests they need to do. I have had no testing done up to this point so am anxious to see what they show. Hope everyone is having a wonderful friday! Kelly

Kelly, Congratulations ... you have done GREAT. Be sure to have the doctor ask for an EKG to be done too. UCLA recommends it at the 6 month mark and/or at every 50 lbs during the 1st 6 months. Mary

Girl, you have been hiding away and shrinking away. That is such great news. I hope your labs will be better than mine. You too have lost a small adult. Debbie -61

I know! i just can't believe it most days. I am now into a 16 with a little room and a large shirt. A friend asked me how much more I wanted to lose and I said around 50 pounds. She said that she thought that was too much....too much??? I am 5'6" and definately not big boned so i don't think that 150 is an unrealistic goal....i think people are just so used to seeing me big that they can't imagine me their size. Also someday i will have to share the panic attack i thought i was going to have in Dillards last week trying to figure out what size I wear!!! I am curious about my labs also. i am such a fanatic about taking my calcium, b-12, multi, & biotin that if they are bad....than something just ain't right...I am still supplementing my meals with 2 protein drinks during the day so i know i am getting my protein in. Still waiting for the hair loss thing to kick in but so far so good! I had a big scare last week....i found a huge hunk of hair in my tub drain and almost had a heart attack...but then my little cousins who were staying the week with me said that is belonged to her....cause she always loses a bunch of hair in the shower. the kid has more hair than any 3 people deserve. So i calmed down a bit after that!!!!

Congratulations Kelly! I'm so glad to hear that you're doing well. Wish I was as consistent with the vitamins, etc., but I've gotten back on track (thanks to Deb's posting). How lucky that you haven't had any hair loss...now I'm envious! I can't WAIT for my hair to begin growing back in, but so far, no such luck. Julie

thank you all for your nice replies. Jul'-i thank God everyday for not losing hair yet....at least none that is noticable!! My hair is so fine as it is....I have to post reminders everywhere so i remember to take all my pills. i bought a pill box and that helps a lot. i keep my multivitamin here at work so i will take that during the day since we aren't supposed to take it with the calcium....it is an ongoing thing but i have friends who have had this surgery and didn't take the vitamins and don't worry about their protein and they look bad....they have dark circles under their eyes, their hair is broke off and no energy....i had this surgery for quality of life and don't want to lose that because i couldn't choke down a few pills!! We are all doing so great!!! K
