stuck on 197!!

Hi everyone, I know others have mentioned how they are stuck but now its me and I cant find those posts anymore!! I havent seen the scale move in 3 weeks and I am started to feel like I am incapable of losing weight! I still have a little more than 40 lbs to go and I promised myself I woud be there before one year is up!! HELP! Any suggestions??? sarah

There have been many posts on this board over the past few months from our brothers and sisters (mostly sisters) who also had a stubborn scale. Mary and Joanne are good with advice, they always help me. I'm sure they will read this and lend their helping hands as they always do. You will lose...keep trying. Denise

Hang in there! I have been on many plateaus. It seems like the body loses weight then takes time to readjust. When it happens to me I kick start my metabolism by increasing my walking time, make sure I drink my water, eat my protien and think about what I have been eating. Cheeses tend to be more fatty. If you go to Fitday.com it will help you track your calories and food values. Good luck and hang in there. It will happen. Susan

First, don't lose focus of how far you have come and then don't give up hope on how far you still can go. Our bodies need a rest every now and then and it seems like that is what your body is doing. Follow the rules, exercise, drink lots of fluids ... the weight will continue to come off. One thing that helps is to take measurements. On a month that was slow with weight loss there may be some awesome changes in inches. Also compare before photos with current photos. I take a photo once a month. They help to show my journey and remind my mind that I am a success. Mary
