Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
My hair loss seems to be over and I feel like jumping for joy!I've checked the shower every day for a week and there is no blob at the drain. I'm still losing a few when I comb it, but even a healthy head of hair loses approx. 50-100 hairs a day so that's fine.
Now........when does the hair fairy show up to make it start growing back in?

Yeah!! Me too. I usually have to get hair off my hands about 2 or 3 times when I wash and rinse. I barely have 10 strands now, if that many, and very few when I style. My hair dresser said we loose up to 150 hairs per day, so I feel good. I haven't noticed any new growth yet either, but then I haven't taken time to really get close and look.

Hi Julie! I've been losing handfuls of hair since exactly 4 months. So for the past 2 months I have a handful in the shower drain every morning, in addition to all the stuff in my comb and brush and following me in a cloud like Pig Pen on Snoopy. How long was your's falling out before it stopped?
Thanks for letting me know there IS light at the end of the bald tunnel!

Mine began falling out right about 3 months out...got REALLY bad in the 5th month, and has finally quit. I'm not bald, but it's pretty thin although I'm probably far more aware of it than others.
I'll be glad when it begins to grow in, but I'm okay with it right now. The hair I have is still pretty healthy; just thin and little limp.
Still in all, as scary as it has been, I'd do it all over again for the weight loss.

hey there Julie, so glad your hair is slowing down on the falling out.. I think mine is still dropping out, i look like a cancer pt. now, and its dry and weird.. you can see my scalp, and theres just not enough to do anything but a bad comb over,, but i keep thinking it will return, lol

Congrats on the slow down of hair loss, Julie. Just this week I have noticed that the glob over the shower drain is much less, and that my hands are no longer COVERED with hairs when I shower. Of course I immediately had negative thoughts--"I've lost so much hair, there probably just isn't any more to lose". (My FIRST thought was NOT, "Great, the losses are over!!"
My hair loss is really significant and I feel I have to wear a hat to hide my hair/scalp. Like others, the hair that remains is in a strange, poor condition, kind of like it's dead already but hasn't fallen out yet. I'm really concerned about what I should do when I return to the classroom (as the teacher) in August. What to do??!!
My doc said regrowth seems to happen at 7 months, which would be September for all of us Feb people. Good luck to us all.
Good for you!!! May I ask approximatley how long did you "lose" hair--luckily I had thick hair but its been coming out in huge gobs--and now is pretty thin. Mine started falling out about mid june and has been going ever since. Of course I think I dont get enough protein in so I am thinking thats why I keep losing so much. Just wondering how long a period of time the hair falls out.
Thank You
Laurie
My hair loss has slowed down some too. But my first thought is the same as Lynda's "I've lost too much so there isn't any more to lose." My hair is so thin and frail looking. I can't wait till my hair grows back. Oh has anyone dyed their hair while it has been shedding? I am thinking about dying mine for my sister's wedding in September.
