My Gosh, when will it stop??
HI Denise,
I am the same date also and it seems to be slowing for me. I was told it usually takes 8 weeks AFTER you notice it. I am about 7 weeks into that stage. I have hair all over. I can no longer wear black tops unless I have my hair all up! I used to complain about my thick hair, but now I am very glad I had it to loose. I also got it cut, so that seems to help!!
Good luck to you. Can you believe tomorrow it will be 5 months out!!
YEAH FOR ALL OF US!!

My hair has been coming out in clumps. I have very thin hair but a lot of it. My hair seems to be getting all over the place. I hope this stops soon or I will have to go the wig route. My nutritionist told me that at about your 6 month point, it should start slowing down. A few weeks and we will see.

I used to have waist-length, very thick hair. I didn't notice any hair loss for about two months (of course, I was in the hospital most of that time) and it was coming out in HUGE clumps. Because I was in such bad shape after surgery I had my hair cut so I could wa**** myself, had it cut to just about shoulder length. The hair loss slowed down a bit but even now it still comes out in large amounts.
I've noticed at my post-op support group that EVERYONE has thin hair, yet no one is noticibly balding (except the guys!). I think eventually your hair will find its own balance point and stop falling out, I too have heard that it is at about the six month mark.

I have had the same problem as everyone. I have thick hair but I am losing hair quickly. One of my mentors suggested I try a product called Liquid Minerals. I asked my surgeon and he recommended it. He takes it for his own health. I purchased it at Sam's Warehouse. I have noticed that my hair loss is better than before I started taking the minerals. My surgery date is Feb. 25th so I am behind most of you.
