Rewards .. incentives
I have not set incentives or GOALS for myself with this weight loss. Probably because so many attempts at dieting have failed in the past. I'm ecstatic that I have lost about 85 pounds. I'm focusing on being healthier and salvaging my old clothes by altering. I guess the new wardrobe will be incentive enough. I LOVE TO SHOP. Now, a new car...that's interesting.
yes...I do set "mini goals" because you can achieve them faster and it helps you to know you are making progress.
My last goal met was to be able to get my hubbys jeans on...that one was AWESOME. He has always been such a SKINNY BUTT when I was SOOOO much bigger than him. Made me feel really good.
Usually my reward is just some "me time" doing a manicure, or a home spa treatment. My daughter is really good at reflexology and she volunteers to pamper me sometimes.
ahhh...the little things in life

I guess I'm kinda terrible - I generally get what I want when I want it. I don't wait for goals to be reached. Sometimes I have to wait for the money to be there... I still have some things I my closet I can wear, so I'm not too ready for a bunch of new clothes yet.
My 20th class reunion is in a few weeks, so I'm going to pamper myself a little more than usual. Getting nails done and a few new outfits that fit to wear there. Maybe a halter dress?? I'm only 10 pounds heavier than I was when I graduated, so I feel pretty good about that, and I may still lose a few more by then.
My biggest rewards right now, though, are seeing improvement in my exercise routines. That makes me feel better than anything else that I could reward myself with. This week's walk/jog rotation included only one minute of walking to four minutes jogging, and I survived just fine. I was a little worried, though.
