I wasn't worried about hairloss, but now I am. I have really thick hair, but now it is falling out in huge chuncks. My hair is below my shoulders and I am wondering if I should cut it. I don't know what the growing in process will be like. Any advice on what to do or what products to use? Thanks!

Hi Alicia, I am in the same way I find more hair coming out than before. I am thinking about cutting mine short so it will not ne so noticeable. I am losing it in the front so I have a thinning bang line and I hate it!!!!!!! I have always had long hair, full and thick but I am just trying to be paitience (sp) and letting it run it's course. My nails are growing so I think I am getting enough protein go figure LOl.. Have a good evening....Marion 86lbs down.........

I gave up on my hair a couple of weeks ago and now wear a hair piece made by Revlon called Hair Magic. I've always worn my hair short, so I just got it cut very short and pull some of my own hair through it to blend it in; It's really, really light and comfortable and no one can tell when I've got it on. It WAS a little tricky coloring my hair to get the match just right..(actually, it was ALOT tricky and I had to color, strip and recolor to get it right) I decided to do it before the hair got so thin that it was a radical adjustment for people to notice. I was hoping the hair loss was slowing down, but this weekend, it's been worse than ever, so I've apparently got longer to wait for regrowth, but I'm determinedly optimistic. Hang in there and do whatever is necessary. I'd still rather be thin and bald than fat and hairy! Julie

My hair started to fall out about 2 months ago. It was coming out in such large clumps that I thought I would be bald by the end of the first week! I have started to take Biotin, which I think has helped because I have noticed that the loss is starting to slow down. My hair is about 4 inches below my shoulders and used to be very thick. It's not really thin yet, but I can now wrap my ponytail holder three times around instead of just two. I have also started trying to wash my hair every other day instead of every day because it seems to fall out more when it's wet versus dry. I also stopped using any kind of chemicals - gel or mousse. Hopefully this madness will end soon!!! Barb 274/204/-70
