Happy 4th of July to you all. What a great day this in. I've decided to celebrate my independence that WLS has given me. I know can do things that I haven't done in years. I no longer have to ask for help to get something off the floor or stuggle to get back up if I do get on my knees. I can bend, move like I haven't in years!!! It is so wonderful. As of today I'm down 96 lbs and have lost 58 inches (12 inches in the last month alone). I'm off all BP meds and will be retested for sleep apnea next week, saying a prayer that is is gone too. I feel good about me. Yes, I still have a ways to go ... but know I will make it. Mary

Happy Independence Day Mary!!!! What a great idea. Hope the sleep apnea test shows that it is gone. If you are using a CPAP machine, how liberating would it feel to be independent of that???!!!! Have a great day, Dorothy

Dorothy, Thank you. I have used the CPAP for almost 3 years now. At the time I was diagnosed they felt I had had for at least 10 years because of the severity. I'm hoping that I am cured and can give it up. My brother had used his for years and it was interesting that when he was able to stop using it (he had WLS also) he couldn't sleep without the noise. It took him months to finally be able to sleep without hearing it. The BP and the sleep apnea were the two things that really convinced me to do the surgery. I'm so glad I did. Mary
