Ok, I thought up a poll (are you proud of me and it didn't even hurt this time...hehehehe) I have noticed that I have started taking more fashion risks now that I am smaller. Has anyone else noticed this. Like today. I am wearing these flip-flops from Avon with big daisy's all over them (my husband said it looked like I stuck my foot up Big Bird's rear end) but before I would have been afraid that someone might look at me Just wondering what everyone else thinks Noelle 326->241.2->120

I don't know if I'm getting riskier...I'm not too risky by nature. BUT...I have noticed that all of the clothes styles that I've been longing to wear again and are drawn too are now woefully out of style. I have to be careful at the Salvation Army and Goodwill or I'll be buying things that no one is wearing now! Apparently my style sense stopped in the mid 80's when I began to gain weight. Julie

Hey Noelle, I totally agree. I now where jeans, I show my butt..........not literally but my tops are now at my waist instead of to my crotch area....you know what I mean? I where shorter skirts and shorts. I where tighter tops with a lower cut, because my boobs stick out further than my stomach now. I wear colors other than black......sometimes.......... Also, before I made sure my hair and make-up were perfect, I guess I tried to bring out my best quality, which I thought was just my head........so now I use less make-up, and less hair spray........I feel evened out a bit..........if anyone can understand that, in my head it totally makes sense.......... Good topic Noelle, Thanks!!!! Tracie -81 lbs

what a great post! I have a waist again, and Im not too scared to show it. I actually wore a bathing suit last weekend, and I have not done that in a very very long time.... However im still too scared to wear shorts or a skirt in public.. Lee

I DEFINITELY notice a difference in what I wear now!! My (almost) 16 yr old daughter tells me that I am a "sexy mamma" and gives me a thumbs up! talk about a morale booster!! I have been wearing alot of capris and close fitting t's, which I would have NEVER worn before. If a shirt TOUCHED me anywhere other than my shoulders, I wouldn't wear it! Definitely! This morning I put on my first pair of "low rise jeans" (the "in" thing I guess). I still can't figure out if it's a good thing or not though . . . I feel like I should be running around working on people's plumbing But last night, I went to my local consignment store to pick up some clothes for the month & found myself picking out things with colors & designs that I never would've chosen before. I don't take many risk in anything I do. I'm too anal for that. LOL I have been wearing things that are in fashion though. I tried to always have a nice things even in size 1X and 2X... Sigh... Who was I fooling? LOL I finally fit into my capri overalls, and my husband said I looked "cute" I wear skorts and shorts into public now. I might not with another 40lb loss though. I just don't know how bad my thighs are going to look. I wear the proper size t shirts now, but I still want it to cover my panni, but they are not so sloppy looking. I also don't do a lot of makeup. That is one thing in my favor as I do have an olive complexion. I think the biggest risk I have taken would be shoes. I purchase some strappy sandals and really like them. I still have a bit more to loose before I can wear just any ole shoe off the rack. Debbie -56

The more I think about it, the more I realize I have changed. There is alot more color in my wardrobe now....and it's fun. And most of my shirts are now fitted instead of loose. And I'm wearing more heels which I love! I'd love to get some colorful capris or shorts, but I'm not that brave yet. Julie

Noelle, I've also noticed that. I'm 38 and don't dress like it anymore. I routinely wear short skorts when I go out, shorts nearly daily, and lots more color. I bought new exercise clothes that fit and had cute patterns. I wear overall shorts, but haven't decided to spend the money on any low rise jeans or shorts. That might change in a few pounds and sizes, but we'll see. I've always had a belly and NASTY stretch marks from my beloved son, so the belly rarely ever got seen, even before I became MO. Linn PS BMI now below 30!!
