How far are you from *goal*?
305 high weight
255 weight day of surgery
211 weight today .... so down 94 lbs
I'm 5'1"/5'2"
According to the BMI charts my normal weight should be somewhere between 100 and 130 lbs, so I think 115 to 125 would be good. So if I use 125, that mean 86 more lbs. The surgeon said 2 to 3 lbs per week on the average so if I use 2 lbs per week that would be 43 weeks from now. So next Apr/May (2005) I should be at goal which would be 15 months after surgery. That would be fine with me, sooner would be fine too.
I'm currently 17 weeks out from surgery. 2/25/04
We really never discussed how long it would take me to get to goal. They told me they were sure I would get to 170, but that to get below that would take lots of extra effort on my part.
I have always been heavy..... weighed 158 in the 5th grade and 206 when I graduated. I have no concept of what it feels like to be a normal weight, but I sure can't wait to find out!!!

Let's see.
I started at 241, am now at 173 and would like to end up between 130 and 135. I guess that means I've got about 40 to go. Since my loss has been really slow this month, I'm beginning to wonder if I'll even make it to goal. What I'd really like is to be at goal by October however, I'd be happy to be at goal by the end of the year. The kicker is, I've never weighed that little since I remember weighing myself in Junior High! I remember being 155 at age 13.

I started at 265 (give or take a few lbs) my surgery was on 2-24-04. I am currently weighing in @ 202 lbs. That has me down about 63lbs. I would like to be down between 140-150lbs. So I still have another 50+ to go. It seems so far away...my bad habits have been creeping back in but I am trying really hard to battle them back away. sarah
I was 397 on the day of my surgery, and am 301 now, I expect the surgery to take me close to 200, and I would be happy to get there, but to reach 180 would be the best. I am very heavily muscled, so I would look great at 180 or 200, and with my overall size and muscle mass, I don't ever expect to be thin.
My Dr is beside himself now that I have lost this much weight, and am able to eat everything and not feel deprived because of the surgery. His only concern was that I take the vitamins he prescribes, and that's not a problem.
well, right before surgery i changed my real personal goal from 140 to 170, because i got nervous that id fail. Im sure some of you can relate
Im keeping my eye on 170, as a "100 lbs lost goal", but going to work my hiney off to get to 140. 140 is my surgeons goal for me, and its my real goal for me too!
I am 203 lbs as of today so i have 63 lbs to go to reach 140. I started at 270.

270/203
I have lost 82 lbs to date. I was 326 at my high weight lost 14 lbs for surgery and now have lost 68 lbs since the surgery on 02/24/04. I have tried the thinner self and I guess I am just too blond. It makes me confused. I think it said that I was losing at about 68% which doesn't sound right. Then it said that I could only expect to lose down to 190. Well, I want to get down to 120 or 130. I also worry because I am not getting enough protein in, I try to eat just protein but I can't drink the shakes they make me sick. I have tried the Isopure but it was horrible, so I snack on peanuts and cashews and pistachios and eating chicken and beef. I drink water but don't get in enough. I read here that all of you are doing so well with your food and water. oh well, tomorrow is a better day!
