Finally I am back on the boards. Went to NJ for the drag racing this past weekend. Had a pretty good time. Supposed to be going to Hershey Park PA next month. How the hell am I going to handle that one???? Here's my question. How fast can you drink? Believe it or not, I can drink 32 oz of sf tang mixed with my protein drink powder in 10-15 minutes!!!!! Even my doc was surprised. What is the matter with me? Joanne

Joanne, Was your doctor concerned that you could drink this so fast? If he wasn't, then I probably wouldn't be either. Maybe you need to focus on drinking slower and enjoying the drink more. I know I can drink Propel water quicker than regular water. The Propel water just goes down smoother. Mary

He was surprised. But didn't say much. I asked him if it was too much all at once but he really didn't say much. I usually take longer than 10-15 minutes but that day I only took 10 minutes. I was driving at the time. When I have my drink at home I take about 20 minutes. it is the only thing I drink. Once in a while I will have crystal light in bottles but that doesn't go down so fast.

Ditto to drinking fruited water faster...does anyone know why that is? Julie

There's nothing wrong with you Joanne. I can drink that fast too and it doesn't seem to cause any problems at all. It just makes it easier to get all of the water in. Julie

But can you drink 32 oz that fast???? It does make it easier to get in my fluids for the day. I usually get in 80 oz of liquid a day now that I drink faster.

mmmmm..maybe not 32 oz, but I'll bet I'm not far behind you. I can drink 16 oz. in 5-10 minutes easily. Julie

*whew* I'm glad to see that other people are drinking some fluids more quickly. Water, gatorade and propel, I can drink pretty quickly. But milk, coffee, tea or a protein shake I can't drink nearly as fast. I figure it has something to do with my body needing to process those fluids a bit more. Not sure if it's true, but makes sense to me. I feel better knowing that others are drinking fluids more rapidly!!

I can totally drink 32oz that fast. Depending on what I'm drinking. I've gotten hooked lately on Lipton Instant Diet Decaf Iced Tea & that's all that I've been drinking (other then my protein drinks). Since I've started drinking this I've been getting in around 150 ounces a day or so. I bring two 32 ounce containers to work with me in the morning - drink them, & then take them home @ lunch time to fill them up & finish them in the afternoon. I thought I was doing well too . . . I don't see anything wrong with it . . . there are a lot of people who don't believe that fluids can stretch the pouch . . . & like others said . . . I'm sure your doctor would've expressed concern if it was a big deal. You're doing great!!! Big Hugs Amanda

Oh Amanda, I am sooooo happy to hear that someone else drinks as fast as I do. I thought I was the only one. I just wish drinking can cur b the munchie appetite. I find I just want that crunchy salty snack sometimes. I wait until my scheduled meal or snack but I just wish I filled up for a long time with liquids. Now OT, I saw a show on TV once about flowers. The guy growing these flowers is from your town. It looked absolutely beautiful there. What is the weather like and is it as beautiful as it looked on TV??? Some day I'l like to visit Alaska. Joanne
