Hello fellow Februarians (I probably just made that word up).... But, i was just wondering, how much all of you have lost and where I rank. I know that I shouldnt be comparing myself, and everyone loses differently, but I am just wondering.... Ok, I'll start. Thursday will be my 4 month anniversary, I am down 77 pounds. Happy Monday!!! -Renee

Renee, I do like the word Februarian, so good job on creating it!! I weighed myself on Saturday and was down 90 pounds from my surgery on February 2...hoping to lose another 40-50 my my next doctor's appointment in August. Everyone does lose very differently, but it's nice to see and recognize everyone's success!! Michelle

Renee, Thanks! I feel great and have loved the changes that I have noticed since the surgery! You asked what I eat, my diet is predominantly protein! I have a shake or a protein bar in the morning, and some days I actually eat something for lunch, or if not, I'll just have another bar in the afternoon then I'll have dinner sometime that night. My surgeon has said to eat my proteins first, then if I have room for anything else, work on getting in some other foods (starches, vegetables, etc.). As I am not able to eat more than the 2 ounces in a meal, I'm still working mostly on proteins. But, I do eat other things, there are times that I'll have a few pretzels during the afternoon at work, or in the evening. I've also caught myself 'grazing' when at different events, maybe having some nacho chips or something. But those are definitely the minority and not the norm. I try to limit my caffeine (I make coffee each morning, but never finish even half the travel mug I bring to work), and some days I'll get an iced tea from Wendys', but couldn't tell you the last time I actually finished it. I drink water all the time, even when drinking my caffeinated beverages, I also drink gatorade or propel fitness water. I've allowed myself to have alcohol on a few occasions. I don't deny myself something if I really want it, but I do limit the quantity, a few bites is it! I try to exercise 4-5 times a week, I go out for walks of anywhere from 2-4 miles. I also keep some 5 pound dumb-bells in my spare room, so when I'm watching TV or playing on the computer, I do some arm work. I also try to do some sit-ups and crunches before bed. I am pleased with my success, and think all of us should be proud of the accomplishments that we've made. Every one of us gained our weight differently and we're all taking it off differently, but we're losing and that's what's most important. There are people who have lost more than me who I sit and think, "Gee, if only I was losing as quickly as she is". Then I look at what I have lost and smack myself in the head!! I'm doing great and so are all of you!!! Be proud of your accomplishment, whatever it may be! You've done the work, the surgery is only a tool! IT's up to you to use it! Congrats to everyone! Hi Renee, It's really hard not to be curious about how much other's have lost at about the same point. As of this morning I have lost 83 lbs . I had my surgery on Feb 5th. There have been weeks when the scale didn't move, then a big drop happens... Everyone loses differently but seems to even out in the end...

Gosh you girls are doing awesome jobs! I'm almost embarrassed to put mine down. Although I would be nearly at goal if I had lost 90lbs in 4 months, so I imagine I'm loosing at the rate you will when you get closer to goal. I have lost 54 lbs as of this morning. I will be 5 months out on the 5th of July. I pray I make at least 56 lbs by then. I should be at 60lbs by then to be on target for a 100% loss. Keep up the good work! Debbie -54 229/175/140-130ish
