What is the difference between full and satisfied???? In the past and even now, I am not satisfied until I am full. I cannot tell the difference.

Full is one bite too many! I start sneezing, or the mucus starts backing up, because there is too much food. I definitely can tell the difference. I just don't think my mind can quiet grab the small amount I should be eating. I eat on a salad plate, but I still want to fill it up. I end up giving it to my dh, or throwing away. Deb

I don't have any tell tale signs that i am too full like sneezing. I always eat either on a salad plate or a saucer. But I need to know when satisfied is BEFORE I am full. That way I can stop when I am supposed to. Otherwise, I eat until I am full. But for me there are two kinds of full....the one when you are satisfied and happy the other when you are uncomfortable. Ugh...the learning

Let's see if I can explain it from my experience... Now in my journey, I definitely feel moments of real hunger at meal times. I found that if I set out a couple of ounces of meat or 1/3 of a cup of cottage cheese, maybe a few berries added in that it is enough food to stop the hunger pangs so I feel satisfied. So for me no more hugner pangs = satisfied. I eat until the hunger pang subsides. If I eat until I am full, that is when there is discomfort sometimes temporary .. sometimes lasting for hours. I also really try to watch portion control and protein counts too. Hope that makes sense. The old way for me was to eat whether I was hungry or not and eat large quantities if it tasted good. Mary
