All the HAIR!!!!
No clumps, but mine has been falling out for over a month and is showing no signs of stopping and my hair is THIN!
I think it's becoming very noticable; my husband (who kept denying it was falling out) even stood in the church parking lot yesterday and picked hairs off my shoulder and said "I guess it really is falling out."
So much for the theory that if you keep your protein high beginning immediately after surgery that you won't lose much...I've been great about my protein, vitamins, biotin, etc. and it STILL hasn't helped.
Can't wait for it to stop....if it's not soon, I'll be bald.

Yep....mine is/has been going too! Plugged up the drain in one shower yesterday. Then my best friend was kind and told me it doesn't show. Yeah, right.
I'm with Julie...have fine, thin hair. And I also have been religious about my protein and supplements since surgery. I believe if its going to fall out, it doesn't matter what you do.
So I bought some volumizer shampoo and we'll see if that helps. I'm not hopeful. Supposed to make hair very shiny too. So the strands that I have left will blinding!!!! Too bad you'll be able to count them!
How long is this supposed to last? I keep hoping it will let up, but it just seems to be getting worse and I've been losing it for weeks now.

Julie,
You have made my day! This morning I posted the day's questions on my other board (Over 50 forum, if anyone is interested). My first question was, "if money were not an issue, what would be your chosen profession?"
Even though I wrote that question, I didn't have an answer for it and confess that I fudged on it when I posted my own response. But your message made me realize what I really enjoy doing. When you said I made you laugh, I got such a twitter I knew what I should have answered for this question. Maybe I should have been a comedienne.

So far for me, no more than normal. Must admit I have been looking at some of the wig sites on-line just in case I need one.
Right after I had gall bladder surgery in 89, my hair fell out in clumps. It was awful (but luckily no bald spots). Surgeon said it was because of the anethesia. Any way, it stopped after a few weeks and then grew back in. I didn't have any problems this time with hair loss as a result of the anesthesia.

yip, mine is leaving the scene of the crime also...
I recently just went and cut it all off, figured I would give my body half a chance to try and deal with a little bit rather than the length I used ot have. ( was just past my shoulders)
Now I get so many compliments on how much thinner and brighter my face looks. So once I got over the initial shock of looking like a man everything is fine...
Good luck and welcome to the club.

What a great thread to read. I'm always appreciative of a good laugh. I brushed my hair this morning as my 2 1/2 year old stood under me and watched. She was looking up at me. When I was done (only about 8-10 strokes with the brush), she was doing pa-tooey and brushing my hair from her face, poor baby. And then she said, "EWWW, mommy's hair!". I said, "uh-huh, baby, Mommy's hair fell on your face." It's a fact of life and surgery, so, I'm dealing with it.
