Help! Gaining weight..no idea why?
The only time I ever had a gain was when I hadn't had a bowel movement in a couple of days, or ate something with high sodium content. It looks like you are doing things correctly, more so than I ever have. I'm at a 14 day stand still. Sigh... I know it must be frustrating though to have a gain. I think it is a temporary flucuation though. No way would you be putting on *real* weight at this stage.
Hugs,
Debbie
Julie,
Weight gain that quickly is usually only temporary. Have you eaten more carbs than ususal the last couple of days? I found that as a pre-op doing high protein/low carb that if I ate a sandwich, potato or anything high carb I could gain 5 lbs almost overnight. It would take a few days to get it back off when I got back on track, but it was a temporary gain. Carbs retain fluids in our systems.
Sodium may be the culprit too.

julie,
i agree with mary and deb that is has to be temporary. one thing i have cut out of the sodium. at around 6 weeks i was eating a slice and a 1/2 of bacon each morning with my scrambled eggs.....love the salt!!! but it was really causing me to swell...so i had to cut it out. i know even now i can get on the scale and weigh a certain weight and at night, having done everything great for the day, can weight 4 to 5 pounds more....SO I STAY OFF THE SCALE AT NIGHT NOW...HEHEHEHEHHEEE.
as you would tell me, don't freak out about it...you know you are doing wonderful!
