It seems like it has been ages since I have been to this site. I wanted to visit and see how others are doing. I have hit my first plateu. I am really bummed about it. My surgery was 2-19-04 and I am down 55 pounds. Reading some of the other posts, I am about average. There are a few who have lost much more, but some the same. Thank you to all who post. It really does help having someone to talk to. I think I am still loosing inches. I have a favorite pair of jeans that I had outgrown, that fit just right now. Every time I put them on they are getting a little looser. I wear them at least once a week. I hope this plateau doesn't last much longer. I will go bonkers. I don't weigh myself at home. Purposely don't have a scale. I will be on who gets on it every time I take a pee. I weigh myself at a friends house occasionaly. I think I will by a scale tomorrow. I will have to get over the wanting to weigh every time I pass it. Good luck to all.

Glad to see you post! I think you are doing great. You are just a bit ahead of me. I'm really happy where I am now. I think if I could have my tummy tuck now, and I didn't loose anymore weight I would be happy. My skin isn't too terribly saggy, except my tummy, and I fit in with all the other normal people. I'm not the biggest and not the smallest. Just accepted. Hugs, Debbie -52

You are doing great. Yes, I bet you are losing inches even if not pounds. I think sometimes we focus too much on the weight and not on the overall changes. I'm down 39 since surgery, 50 before ... 89 total. I love being able to wear jeans. I hadn't owned any for over 18 years and I'm loving this. Mary
