Hair Loss Hair Loss and More Hair Loss

It's getting really scary the handfuls that are coming out of my head after washing it. I just chopped my hair all off ahd its still coming out! I'm taking 2000mgs of Biotin, washing my hair with Nioxin and taking extra zinc! Has anyone found a miracle cure??? Enquiring minds wanna know! By the way, I am down 70pds so with everything said and done this is still worth it! Luv, Debs

Debs, If you find the miracle cure...please tell me. Mine is also coming out like crazy and the texture seems to have changed. It is not as silky as before and NOT behaving at all... I have lost 74 since January and 62 since surgery so we are about even...Maybe this is the way it's supposed to be Noelle G

I spoke to my surgeon and two haridressers. There is nothing to do to stop the loss but there are products you can by that will give it extra volumn. They told me to wait it out. On the realistic side, mine is coming out in clumps, I am freaking about it and have schedule a "cut" for monday. Good luck open rny 2/11/04 down ~119

I'm down 73 lbs and I notice I'm losing more hair than before, but I just had a perm last week and my hairdresser tells me that what I'm losing is ok. I freak out everytime I comb my hair, but people tell me it still looks the same, I'm just waiting it out and trying not to freak

Everything I hear is that there is nothing we can do to stop it. Mine has started coming out also. I am having a little difficulty with it emotionally. I have always had a beautiful "mane." Before surgery I had it cut short to prepare for the loss of hair. I am glad I did. I could not imagine the longer hairs being every where. And I mean everywhere. You find them in places they shouldn't be....... .

I have not ahad a problem yet. I do get in over 70 grams of protien in a day. Both my sister and my husband lost hair. The only thing I am doing differently is getting my protien in and then some. Good luck!

I have not lost any hair. In fact, my hair is growing. I am lost 71 pounds.

Wow! Lucky, lucky you..... If I lose anymore, I'm going to seriousy have to consider getting some "add in" pieces around my hairline.... Fortunately, it seems to ebb and flow and right now, it's a little better. Hope it ends soon. Julie
