Teri, Sometimes rapid weight loss like that can be a sign of dehydration so be sure to get in lots of fluids especially since it is starting to get warmer. I think it is common to be extremely tired after such a weight loss. Be sure to talk to your doctor tho if it continues. Some recommend B-12 shots and also taking B-12 sublinqual pills. The B vitamins are energy vitamins. Have you taken photos along your journey? I've lost 87 lbs in the last year (37 since surgery). Sometimes I look in the mirror and don't see any changes at all, but when I dig out the photos WOW can I see the changes. Another way to judge is by body measurements, I've tracked since last July and have lost 44 inches overall. Welcome to the board. Lots of great support here. Mary

First of all, Teri, congratulations on your great progress. I have the same surgery date, so we're "twins". The tiredness is a symptom of something, I'm sure. Could be a vitamin or iron deficiency. Are you taking supplements? Getting in all your protein and water? And as for feeling fat... well, I can tell you I suffer from the same thing. No matter how much I loose, I don't see it in me. Sure I have a long long way to go, but I'm down 67 pounds and that should be visible to me, but it isn't. I just know that it must show because my clothes are much too big and people are telling me how different I'm looking. And I feel sooooooooo much better so it must be obvious. Well, to everyone else. Make sure you follow your surgeons rules and I'd maybe contact a doc about that fatigue if its really bothersome or gets worse. Windy/Pat

Welcome to the board; I think you'll find everyone here extremely nice. It still surprises me when I can put on smaller clothes and today I passed a plate glass window and was shocked to see myself. I really am much smaller than I feel, but I think that's kind of common. I had one week when I lost 8 pounds, and I do think I felt pretty tired that week. That's got to have a huge impact on your system. Generally, as long as I'm taking my vitamins and B12 religiously, I feel good. I get kind of sluggish if I'm not drinking enough...have you checked your fluid intake? Hope you feel great this week! Julie

Teri, Welcome! Congratulations on your loss so far! That's wonderful. I can definitely relate on the fat days and also on being convinced that the scale's broken. While overall, I feel great, I have times where I just feel exhausted. I'd encourage you to keep getting in your fluids and proteins. Keep up the great work!
