I plan to get my sewing room organized, and sew some things for my 6 year old daughter. I have several little dresses smocked. I just need to construct them. I have missed my sewing time lately. My 10 year son has just signed up with a travel baseball team, and he has his first tournament starting tonight. We will be busy with that tomorrow as well. I'll probably grill out something Monday for the holiday, but not sure what I'll do. We love grilled burgers, but shrimp wrapped in bacon sounds nice. I'm sure most of you have more interesting things to do. Debbie -52

I was informed last night that our viewing entertainment for this weekend will be "Lord of the Rings" whatever the 3rd one was called. This was kind determined when it came in the mail yesterday. I saw it at the movies. It was good, but way too long. Let's see, my favorites, I'd have to say Jeremiah Johnson, The Natural, and Finding Nemo. I"m a Redford fan, and Nemo was just darn cute. There aren't too many movies I'll watch more than once or twice. Windy/Pat

I think it sounds like a great weekend. I'm so jealous that you can sew..and apparently well, since you do smocking which I love! I sew just enough to be dangerous...I can take in things for myself, which is a big help, and I made tons of dress up clothes for my grandaughter for Christmas, but that's about the extent of my creativity. Your children are still very young...makes me feel very old since mine are 23 and 19 and I have a 3 year old grandaughter and also a little jealous. There are many times that I wish we still had kids at home and wish I could do it all over again. Have a wonderful weekend with the ones you love! Julie P.S. Send me that picture...I'd love to see it.

Honey, Don't feel old... I started my family very young and finished very old. LOL I have a son that will be 23 in Sept. (he has made me a Grandmather, or as I like to be called Nonna.. last year) I have a son that will be 21 on the 4th. He lives in Nashville and called me to let me know that he will be out of pocket. wink, wink... Then we waited 8 years and started our second set of kids. Two more boys 12.5 10.5 and our total surprise our daughter who is 6.5. I have always loved to sew and wish I could make more money doing it. It was feast or famine all the time with my sewing. I'll send you a picture, but I need you to email me your email address. I can't attach picture with the email system here. Debbie -52

We're going to go visit my parents and our daughter (who lives with them while she's going to college) about 90 miles away. Helping with Mom's garage sale on Saturday, church & grilling out on Sunday, nothing but being lazy and coming back home on Monday. It's not too exciting, but sometimes the best thing to do, is nothing at all. I'm just looking forward to having time to sit and talk. Hope the weather is beautiful wherever you are and that everyone has a great weekend. See you next week. Julie

I wont be doing much but being lazy. Once I get up I will wash clothes and try to organize a little. Then maybe I will go to my mother's house and spend the rest of the day over there with my family. I will just enjoy not working.

The painters have been here the last 2 days, so now the weekend is one of peace and quiet. I watched a DVD today ... In the Bedroom with Sissy Spacek. Won't recommend it, strange movie. I've just started creating with polymer clay. Been reading and reading up on it. Last night worked on a light switch cover. I covered it with "caning" that looks like agate (purple, red, white) that I created. Turned out very nice. Baked it in the oven. Now need to sand and buff to a shine. Lots of fun. Hal is recovering from the flu, so is working/playing on his computer. Mary
