Somebody Help Me Please!

Can somebody please kick me? I want to get back on track and I need you guys to help me. The past couple days have been so trying for me and I have fallen and struggling to get back on my feet. My eating and drinking habits have gone in a whirlwind. I spent two days with my 15 yr old son in the hospital emergency room. I couldn't get in my protein and I know I didn't get in my water. I even forgot to take my medication. This is where you kick me. My son is in the hospital for the next week and I am going wild. I am on pins and needles. I am running up to the hospital whenever I can and trying to let the docs do what they have to for him. I have lost my desire for eating and if I hadn't been in the 91 degree heat today, probably wouldn't have gotten in my water. Someone please pray for me and kick me back to reality. Today I have managed to get in my protein and water. I just hope I can stay afloat. Well I guess I've whined enough. Hang in there everybody! This tool is too great to waste. I just hope I didn't sabotage my success. Love ya'all!

Evelyn, First and foremost sending you hugs and lots of prayers. I hope your son will be OK and that life can back to normal for you. It is so hard to be making the hospital runs each day and be so concerned about a loved one too. Yes, it is hard to stay on track when life is so hectic. However you can't afford to get sick right now either. You should be able to ge****er and ice from the nurses for yourself while in the hospital. Pack some protein bars, cheese etc so that you have protein or make a point to walk down to the cafeteria and get something to eat. It may not be the best food, but you should be able to get protein. When I head out of the house, I always have a protein bar in my purse and a bottle of water in an insulated carrier. It really helps me stay on track. Hope things go smoothier very soon. I know you can stay on track. Sending you lots of positive thoughts. Mary

No Kicks here! Just (((HUGS))) and encouragement! Try to take some bottled water with you and at least peanuts in your purse. I pray everything will turn out okay for your son. I can't say don't worry, because that is our job as Mother's. Hugs, Debbie -50

Evelyn, you don't need to be kicked, you need to be hugged and consoled. Dealing with a family crisis can take its toll on you. The worry and urgency just makes us think more of others than we do of ourselves, so we forget to take care of ourselves in the meantime. Just remember that your success can't be sabotaged by just one or two days. The others gave good advice, so I won't repeat it. But what I will repeat for you is Katherine's prayer. Please take care of yourself, and I hope your son comes out of this ordeal happy healthy and whole. {{{{{{ Evelyn }}}}}} Windy

Evelyn, God Bless. Prayers go out for you and your son. Everyone has given good advice. You will be ok missing the protein for only a couple days, so maybe you should pack a lunch bag to keep in the car or to take with you to the hospital. Throw your meds and vitamins in there too. I just had my wisdom teeth taken out and went back to liquids for a few days. Slim fast low-carb cans ($4.50 for 4-pack at wal-mart) have 20 grams protein and have been helpful, you could pour it over ice and sip while you are at the hospital. Good luck and best wishes, Dorothy
