Hi gang...... Boy have I been sick! I've got pneumonia and this is the first day in a week that I've barely been able to sit up let alone answer email. Apparently my "achoooooos" went to my lungs and I have been one sick puppy since. Have laryngitis too......haven't been able to talk for days either. (Hubby kinda likes that though...hehe). Obviously have not been able to walk, or do aerobics.....and when I weighed first time in a week, I have gained five pounds. I'm sure that my problem with troubled constipation is part of it but it is disheartning when you're sick too......dang old body anyway. I've missed reading your emails and pray all are well. Everyone sounds like they are on track and doing wonderfully. My daughter and grandson are flying into Charlotte tomorrow evening to spend a week with grandma......I know that will cheer me up very well and I'll probably be running in circles before they leave. God's blessings upon you all......you are so needed and loved! Love, Katherine

Good morning Katherine, so sorry to hear of your pneumonia. Make sure that you rest enough to get past this bout of trouble..try not to over-do it. You can get back on track with the weight loss once you feel better. I will pray for you to have a speedy recovery and let your daughter dote on you for a while..it will make her feel good too.

Oh, Katherine! I'm so sorry to hear that you've been so sick. Pneumonia can really put you under the table and leave you feeling pretty rotten for quite a while. I'm so glad your daughter and grandson are coming to see you! They're bound to put a smile on your face and I'm sure they'll pamper you with love. And LET them care for you ...My grandmother used to tell me that when you don't let someone help you, you deny them the opportunity to be a blessing. She was right. Don't worry about the weight...it will resolve itself once you're strong and healthy again. Know that you are in our thoughts and our prayers daily! (((hugs))) Julie

Katherine, Make sure you take care of yourself and do as Julia says. Let your family care for you. I just love her grandmother's viewpoint. I think I'll use that on some folks that I know who absolutely refuse to let anyone help them. (putting mirror away now) Get better soon Windy

Thank you so much! Your grandmother is a smart cookie! (At least a low carb one, haha!) Her words of wisdom have been handed down for me by my grandmother as well. It's a small, small world. Thank you for caring to write such a lovely email. Love, Katherine

Katherine, Please take care of yourself and gets lots of rest. Don't worry about the weight gain, it will resolve itself. Medications can affect the weight as can constipation. The concern right now is to get better, then work on the weight. Enjoy your visit with your family. Mary
