I am on the way.....
I went for my check up at my PCP doctor and I was told that I had lost 23 pounds in 1 minth. WOW, I was shocked, the scale haden't moved very much for a while. The nurse was nasty and said how could you loose that much weight in a month ? She made me feel sad after the high of hearing how much weight I lost. To be even meaner she went to get the big cuff for blood pressure and I don't need it anymore, she was being very meen. I guess she was jellous, but she took the excitemnet out. Has anyone ran accross anyone that was like that? I have lost a total of 60 pounds and I am 10 weeks post op. I am very happy and I have noticed my clothes getting very baggy and my body reshaping. I am anxious for more to come off. I am thankful for the surgery and that i am doing good so far.
Best Wishes to All ~ Jill
Jill,
You are doing super, don't let Nurse Ratchett get you down. Some people just can't stand to see others do well and can't contain their jealousy. I can certainly sympathize with your knee problems. Fortunately, mine are getting better. Not normal yet, but its getting easier to walk and I no longer plan the shortest path to save every little step I can. I can now walk or stand long enough to go to the grocery store or shopping. There's still pain, but its getting tolerable. I'm down 65 pounds, so I hope you're experiencing some of the same.
It must have made you feel good to not need the big cuff any more.
Congratulations on your success ...... you deserve it!
