Has anybody tried an alcholic beverage? If so, what type? what happened?

Kate, I bravely tried a mudslide. It was part of a six pack, probally made by the makers of Kahlua. I used to be able to drink a lot with no problems. I felt the effects quickly. It was like a buzz. That was it. It wore off. I haven't had anything since. That was about 2 months ago. Good luck. Denise

my "cube-mate" at work said she tried beer; she drank one full one, and then about 1/4 of a second one, when she stood up to go to the restroom, she said she did a little side step and had to sit back down. But it wore off pretty quickly. I'm not brave enough!!!

Nope, haven't tried it yet, but I asked the doc about it at my last checkup just a couple days ago. He said wine would be best as mixed drinks would have a higher alcohol content and they would tend to make you pretty loopy (his word). He also said beer is definitely a no-no because of the carbonation. This was just after he got done explaining that now my stomach is only 3-4 ounces and an average stomach is 40 ounces. So I said... "then I shouldn't stop by liguor store and pick up a 40 ounce malt liquor on my way home?" At least he laughed. Windy

I tried a long island Iced tea (not a lot of carbonation, sugar, or caffeine). I got buzzed twice from half of it. I just sipped for a while until I felt good, then I stopped drinking, it went away quickly and I drank some more and felt tipsy again. By then, all the ice melted and I forgot it when I went to the bathroom and the waitress threw it away.
