this is not meant as a slam cause i love my mom but just had to share this with you. my mother is a small woman, never been overweight who exercises regularly and for years only ate chicken breasts and vegetables....(YEP I DON'T KNOW WHERE I CAME FROM) But she has always had a sweet tooth and would always hide her "treats" in the cabinets and other places. She did this from the time i was very small. I have never been a sweets eater so she wasn't in danger of me breaking into them... I am talking about maybe some banana muffins or some store bought cookies....nothing major. I moved back home last October to save money to buy a house and I rent from my folks in a downstairs apartment where we share the kitchen upstairs. I have noticed the last month that she has gone into chocolate overdrive.....i opened the fridge the other day when i was there and there were butterfingers, hersheys miniatures, all kinds of stuff in the fridge right out in the open....there are cookies on the cabinet, she made a cake last weekend....my point is this...she isn't hiding the food anymore. Maybe she did that to keep me from eating it but i wasn't overweight until i hit about 5th grade and like i said my brother and i knew to not touch her "stash"....so is this some form of unconscious sabotage or does she know now that she doesn't have to worry about me eating. I just think it is hilarious. i have thought about taking a couple of the butterfingers and hiding them to see if she notices.....hahhahahaa

I have no idea of her motives, however I think your hiding the butterfingers idea is very funny... would love to hear her reaction when she finds them missing... Good Luck!

I don't know why she is doing that, but isn't great that it doesn't bother you. I think I would hide some. Shake it up a bit. LOL I buy hershey kisses or the small recee cups for me. I keep them in the fridge and I forget to eat them. LOL The kids find them. It is so funny. ( I always crave chocolate during my period) I would have gone crazy before, if I didn't eat them all, or if they got into them. It is so liberating to have the option. Debbie -45.5

My opinion is that she isn't worried any more, but she could be testing you too. My husband did something very similar just this past Easter. He's got a super sweet tooth and Easter has always been his downfall. He's a sucker for marshmallow peeps in any color! I used to find open packages of peeps in the oddest places. I think the funniest was in the bathroom medicine cabinet. I was so very tempted to rip the heads off a few because he knew that was my favorite part. Yeah, like the marshmallow heads tasted any different than the marshmallow bodies! I think it just gave me pleasure to rip the head of something now and then. But I was nice to the peeps and told my hubby he needn't worry, I don't have a craving for sweets any more. His peeps were safe. I still can't believe it! Windy

Kelly, don't let the fat grams get to you. When I started using Fitday, I HATED watching the fat add up, but if you're eating alot of protein, you're probably eating fairly high fat too...cheese, meat, etc. The only LF thing that's high protein is beans which could make you unpopular at work if you eat too many. Just stay focused on the calories and the protein....I'm sure if a nutritionist saw my daily fat intake she'd die, but it seems to be working well for me. Julie
