What do you do?
I have been working for an automotive company that sells electronic motors (starters, cooling fan motors and power window motors) for Honda of America for the last 6 years. My husband and I both work there, the only stipulation is that one spouse cannot directly supervise or influence the pay of the other. So my husband works in the manufacturing department and I am the supervisor of the Quality Department. Quality is very important to Honda and all of the Automotive industry, so this job keeps me on my toes....I supervise 10 Associates on 3 shifts and 6 engineers on 1st shift. I also do all of the layout measurement (measure all of the blueprint dimensions) for all of the components that we buy, make and sell. I also write programs to control the measuring machines to measure parts. Since surgery, I have had a much more positive attitude and am beginning to like my job again. There was a period over the last year, where I really was unhappy....guess it was me (and my previous weight).
