I got me a new digital scale today to replace to old one that was the kind with the numbers and the little hand that points to your weight. On the digital scale I weigh 7 pounds more than I do on the old one. How do I deal with that, it's making me sick just thinking about it.... Please help Scale switch Linda -56????

Hi Linda. I know what you must be feeling. I got on 3 different scales one week and none of them said the same weight. I was so confused and didn't know which one to believe. I try not to get on the scale at home, but sometimes I still torture myself. My last doc appt. said 313 and when I got home my scale said 320. What's up with that? I just decided that I would leave the accuracy with my doc's scale. Of course, I'll probably keep comparing them but I'm just plain nuts like that You are doing great on your losing. I've only lost 46 , but I see my doc on Monday. Hopefully, it will show some type of loss. Keep up the good work. When you get an answer to your question, let me know the secret!

Are you weighing at the exact same time each time you weigh? Are you wearing the same amount of clothing? So many things can change/affect the weight shown. I weigh first thing in the morning after I have showered etc but before I have gotten dressed or eaten anything. I find this to be the best for me. Last time I weighed at the doctors, I came home immediately to weigh to see what the difference was or to see if they are the same. That way I know my exact weight when I go to the doctors UNLESS I eat and drink before my appt. Just remember your doctor's scale is the most important and is your official weight of record. Mary
