Hi all, I had surgery February 13th and I was glad when I found this message board. It is really nice to be able to talk to people that had surgery around the same time I did. It helps to know that we are all on track. I lost 60 pounds before my surgery and have lost 55 since. For a grand total of 115. I try to excerise everyday, but it seems I only get 3X a week in. I travel in job and it has been wonderful to sit in a airplane seat comfortably without a seat belt extension; sit in a booth at the restaurant with no problem; go through a turn stile without feeling like I was going to get stuck. We are leaving for vacation tomorrow and one of my goals when I started losing weight was to climb to the top of these waterfalls in a state park in the mountains that I haven't been able to get to in 15 years. This weekend I am going to the top. I also want to go horseback riding. What can you do now that you couldn't do before surgery?

Welcome Susan!!! So far, I can walk my dog without feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack, I've ditched all my pre-op meds, I no longer have awful gerd (this is my favorite so far), & yesterday I found out that I am now able to go skydiving (weight limit is 240lbs for tandem). I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow as well (whooo hoooooo Las Vegas Baby) & I'm looking forward to seeing how well I can fit in the airplane seat & quite possibly trying out the skydiving thing (if I have enough money left over after shopping & going to the spa - lol). Where are you heading to? Amanda -37
