hawaiianshavedice.com/snowconmac.html I use a snow cone machine almost daily. The one from hawaiian shaved ice company uses regular ice cubes and is so easily to use and clean. The snow cones satisfy the need to crunch, allow me something sweet too that sugar free. Do you have any gadget, machine that has been helpful in your journey? Mary

I would have to say my good ole faithful blender . . . without it - I don't think that I would be able to stomach my protein drinks every day. I find that it sometimes makes them foamy; however, I would rather deal with foam then lumps I would love to try snowcones though . . . that sounds yummy!! Amanda -36

Yes, I use my VitaMix a great deal. Also have a stick blender that got me thru the pureed stage so much more easily. The snow cones are yummy. And no calories either (or very, very minimal depending on what you use for flavoring). Mary

The quesadillas sound great. We use to make them in our sandwich maker with cheese and imitation crab. They were great hot or cold. Mary

I am the queen of kitchen gadgets!!! I have almost all of them. But since surgery my blender and George Foreman grill have had daily workouts. What I need to get is some recipes for my ice cream maker that I can eat. We love ice cream in the summer and right now are eating the low carb sugar free ice cream but I would love to make my own. Any suggestions anyone??? Joanne

My girlfriend is the same way. She has everything ever invented for the kitchen... I have a few both not all. I will post a slow cooker recipe for vanilla ice cream base for you in just a minute under a new thread. Haven't tried it, but it is in a great low carb cookbook I have been using for my slow cooker. I have a snow cone machine too and I love it. I think the sugar free flavors that Hawaiian Shaved Ice has are yummy! It is a nice treat. I know I will enjoy it even more as the weather gets warmer. After reading all these posts I think I will add a George Foreman's grill to my mother's day list! Linda

Ice cubes made with crystal light (raspberry peach) are great in the snow cone machine too. I use my snow cone machine year round and I agree it is a must have in the hot summer. The grills are nice and come in many sizes so you have lots of choices. He even has one with a stand to use like a barbecue. Mary
