The last week I have had some pretty awesome moments in my journey and thought I would share, hope you will too. The only day I tried on my wedding dress and it fit!!!! I was married over 17 years ago and it hasn't fit in years. I almost cried. I really didn't expect it to fit at all yet. It was neat too cause my hubby was home when I tried it all. He loved it. Pre-surgery we went to one of our favorite restaurants. We always ask for a table, but forgot too. Well, they seated us at a booth and I couldn't even squeeze in. I was so embarrassed!!! Yesterday we went there to meet a friend for lunch. Well, I asked my hubby to make sure we arrived early cause I wanted to try out the booth. Guess what, I fit with lots of extra room. It was such a great feeling. Now I can go anywhere and know I will fit. I have been taking photos along the way. Try to do them the first of each month. Hadn't done this last month, guess I forgot. I couldn't believe the difference between March photos and now. Then I pulled out the July 2003 photos and the difference is amazing. I could really see the difference. Mary

ok i have to share one of my recent awesome moments. i had a blind date yesterday..a friend fixed me up. not wanting to do it since i just ended a relationship a month or so back. anyway i told him to pick where he wanted to eat since i was still on a fairly bland diet from a recent surgery... he picked the pizza hut near where i worked. they have a buffet at lunch and i am thinking "great i won't be able to eat anything since i haven't tried salad or pizza yet. Can you tell i wasn't looking forward to this??hehhehehe.... anyway we went in and the kid working went to seat us and we went to a booth....i have been fortunate that i didn't have a larger tummy so i could usually fit in booth (my weight is in my butt and legs).. but i sat in the booth and lo and behold i couldn't even reach the table without leaning forward...i felt like Lily Tomlin in that big old chair!!! the kid saw me laughing and commented that it might be a little hard to me to reach the table without pulling the bench up. He then asked if we wanted a table instead. He said that they usually keep the booth for the folks that like a little more room! i thanked him and said no we were just fine where we were. I ended up eating a couple bites of salad with CC on it and got a piece of HB pizza and at the topping...didn't want the crust at all and i used to love pizza crust!!! did not get sick it was just fine. Ohhh by the way...date was very nice and we are going out again saturday!

I love Lily Tomlin and I can just visualize you at the booth!!! I would of been laughing too if it happened to me. Glad the date went well. Have fun on Saturday. Sounds like you did well with eating too. Sometimes it can be difficult.

I too love lily tomlin. even started watching West Wing again just for her! But i will never forget how hard my family (especially my Dad) would laugh when she would play that little girl, (Edith?) in that chair. he would have tears roling down his face..... thanks for the well wishes with my date. he called me earlier today to just say hi....seems like a nice guy so we shall see......

Remember "one ring-a-dingy" ... LOL, she was a great switchboard operator too. I really enjoyed her humor.
