Went Shopping. :)
I did the regular trying of clothes that I seem to do every two or three weeks.(from my closet) My 18 capris are a little loose but 16's are too snug. I guess I'm in a 17 if there is such a thing. I went ahead and bought some 16 capri's even though they are tight. I couldn' wear the 18's for about 5 weeks, so I will be in the 16's soon. It is nice to have something that will fit in the closet. I didn't spend a fortune either. I purchased some denim capri's and a pair of red pull on capri's. I had to buy XL in the red because of the sizing. They are 16-18. I can wear them right now. L was a 12-14, so I didn't want to wait that long. I'll just go buy some more when the time comes. I also bought XL t shirts from the regular womens side this time. There ins't a 1 or 2 before the X or a W behind the number. It felt really nice to be shopping in the regular Misses dept. I also purchased a 38 D bra that had some padding in it. I thought it would boost the girls up more, but I couldn't even get my boobs in the cups. I suppose I'm still a DD cup even though they have gone to the deep south. Sigh.....
Just thought I would share my shopping experience. Oh, I also went down 1/2 size in the sandal I bought and they weren't wide.

Congratulations Girl!!!!!!!!
I can't do the 16's yet. I do have a pair of 16 pants and I closed them but they are too tight. My 18's are getting loose though (not loose enough for me). I went to the store yesterday and just looked around. Some of the clothes on the regular size might fit but I was too chicken to try them on. I don't want to disappoint myself.
Now you are doing something that I can't...you're losing shoe sizes!!!!!! I have big feet. Size 12. I want so much to lose a size or two in shoes. My feet aren't really fat though so I think I am going to be stuck with a 12 forever. They are more long than anything.
You're gong a fabulous job!!!!!!!

You know I can get the 16's zipped if I lay on the bed, and suck it in for all it's worth. LOL, but I want to be comfortable in my clothes. I almost waited too long to wear my size 18 capri's. I hope they shrink a bit in the dryer. You know I have never liked wearing my clothes tight, so I'll probably stay in my 18's until 16's are too baggy. What is a girl to do? LOL Now, I see what people say about skipping sizes. We need to check every week
One of my daycare providers wore a size 11 shoe. She said the box fit her better. LOL Maybe your feet will shrink a little. There is always hope.

:rolf: to laying on the bed!!!!! Boy don't we all know that one!!! When I show my 16 year old son that something fits he smiles and says
"And you didn't have to lay on the bed to put them on?"
Wise ass kid.
I am 5'11" so I guess it wouldn't look right if I had size 4 feet. My feet are made big to support this gorgeous amazon body!

I would NEVER have thought you had a 16 year old. First time I saw your pictures, I guessed you to be around 30. Hope that makes you feel good today!
Wow! To be 5'11"...at least you've got alot of height to stretch your weight out over.... At 5'4", every couple of pounds shows alot.
I tried to go shopping this week and don't really know where to go. It's kind of confusing. I'm wearing a 16W in both slacks and dresses so I tried going to the plus stores i.e. Fashion Bug, Catherine's, but they don't really HAVE alot in those sizes. Most everything was too big. BUT when I shop in the regular stores, I can't fit in the Misses clothes yet. So I wound up at Goodwill, Salvation Army and a local consignment store and found a few things that will keep me going.
I invited over a friend who wears an 18 and sent her home last night with probably close to $1,000 worth of clothes. I work as a high level executive assistant so I've had really nice clothes. Unfortunately, I was too heavy to wear many of them for some time, and I lost so fast that they only fit again for about 3 weeks. I'm not complaining. It's a nice problem to have and she was thrilled to get them as she's a stay at home mom with 7 kids under 13 years old.
I'll try shopping again this weekend when I have more time to try things on.

HeeHee...it does make me feel great!!!!!!!!! What I didn't mention is my 16 year old is my youngest. I also have a 21 year old. Two boys.
I personally love my height. Think I always have. It at least kept the bullies away. Who wants to pick on a tall fat kid who could crush you????
Doesn't it feel great to walk into plus stores and have most of the clothes too big for you? Soon enough, they will ALL be too big and you'll have to cut up those store cards.
I haven't got the nerve to go in the store yet to try things on. I am so afraid that i would be disappointed cause I would find that I can take bigger sizes than I thought. Damn brain plays tricks on me.

What is the difference between 16W and 16 misses. That is what I'm finding really frustrating. 1X is too big and misses L too snug. I need an XL, but some stores or brands don't come in XL. I tried on a bunch of Denim and Co. a brand by QVC in a L and they almost fit. My SIL had WLS april 03 and she never wore them. I know they will fit by the end of this month. I bought some 16 zip up capri jeans from WM and they zip, but I can't breath or sit down. LOL I know they will fit by the end of the month. I don't mind spending a few dollars here and there to keep me in clothes, but it is frustrating trying to figure what size I wear. (for the moment)
