I feel like I'm constantly drinking water. I walk around all day with a bottle of it in my hand, but still my doctors says I'm not drinking enough water. I have no desire to drink anything else. I love drinking water but how can I get more in when I'm drinking all the time except around meals? I drink now about 60oz a day. How do I get the extra in with out gulping? Anything to help.

I'm like you, I take a water bottle with me every where I go. I bought an insulated holder with long strap and even ice cube trays for ice to fit into the bottle opening. I think I may be obsessed... LOL When I work on the computer, I have a glass of ice water next to me sipping sippping sipping. They want us to get in at least 64 ounces a day. My doctor says I can drink up to 15 minutes before a meal and can start again 30 minutes after a meal. I found that if I drink Propel water that I can drink more in a shorter period of time. I don't drink more than one a day. It just goes down easier for some reason. Maybe set up a 64 oz jug of water each day and make it your goal to fini**** before the day is out. You are so close with 60 oz. Mary

Hi Susan, Getting enough water can be a tough one. I used to love drinking water, but now, it makes me nausious if I drink more than a sip at a time. I've found that other liquids work better for me. For example, I can drink an 8oz glass of skim plus milk w/in 2-3 minutes and it goes right through my pouch with no problems. I still drink alot of water, mind you, but milk is a good way for me to "catch up" when my intake is lagging (plus it gives me 10 extra grams of protein). Milk may not be your thing, but perhapes there's a better liquid you can tolerate. By the way, are you aware of how much water you're actually drinking? I mean, you're probably carrying around a water bottle all day, but are you actually drinking from it alot? I've noticed for myself, that often I realize I've been carrying the same bottle of water for a few hours, but it's still 80% full. Once I realize I haven't been drinking, then I force myself to drink extra and I get naucious (and consequently go another hour w/out taking another drink). It's a bit of a vicious cycle I'm trying to overcome, but perhapes you're falling in to a similar trap. Good luck and let us know how your making out with you intake, Darrin

My doctor is most concerned with getting in fluids, so along with water, I drink propel, sugar free popsicles (everyday, they are very good), and anything liquid, sugarfree, no (low) carb. I hope this helps. Tracie -55 lbs (still....ughh)
