What's going on!!!
Ok, i'm not sure if I should share this or not, but it is really bothering me! First of all, I have not lost any lbs for like 10 days!! That is frustrating, I feel like I'm doing something wrong. It could be because I have noticed that I can eat a little more in the last 3 weeks. Has anyone else noticed this, and is it normal? And now about the thing I wasn't sure I should share.... I bought a pair of jeans 2 weeks ago, size 18 and they fit tight, but they pull to the side on my butt!!! This happened like maybe 1 year ago, but I took the pants back and blamed the maker of those jeans...lol. I guess because I was so big, I always just bought stretchy clothes, so I hadn't notice before. But after I bought the jeans 2 wks ago, I looked from behind in the mirror naked......OMG.......my body is crooked!!!! Is that from being heavy so long, my right side is scrunched more than my left....I know I sound crazy, but I saw it with my own eyes!!! So it is me that is crooked not the jeans. And I have seen some people with the seam on the butt going to one side, it is not pretty!!! OMG, that is me!!!! What can I do!!!??? Does anyone have anything they could tell me? I'm not vain, really, I just want to wear jeans!!!!

Tracie,
Don't be afraid to share, I bet there is at least one other person who has gone thru the same thing.
With regards to weight loss.... I seem to lose weight one week, then stop for a week or so. Yes, it can be frustrating but I am still losing. My nutritionist said to expect an average of 2 lbs per week and I'm right on target with that (25 lbs in 8 weeks ... so about 3 lbs per week).
You might want to review tho what you are eating ... have you started to eat carbs again. Carbs cause the body to retain fluids and can stop weight loss or add weight back on. If you are not getting enough protein or fluids, your body will sense that you are in a starvation mode and slow the metabolism way down too. 64 ounces of fluids a day and a minimum of 60 grams of protein are really needed.
If one hip is larger than the other, the only thing I can think of is to exercise the muscles either with walking or exercises for that specific area.

Forgot to add ...
Yes, I can eat more now than a couple of weeks ago. I think it is because the tummy is healed and no longer swollen. I still try to keep food intake to between 1/4 to 1/2 cup maximum according to the density of the food. Closer to 1/4 cup if something like chicken and 1/2 cup if something like cottage cheese.

Hi Tracie:
Glad you shared. You and I have the same surgery date. I'm
only down 48 pds to date. I went a period
of 17 days with no loss. Then I got on the scale and was
down 4 pds and the next day another 2. Isn't this weight loss
thing wacky. I'm now averaging about 2 pounds a week. The nurse
at my bariatric center said that our bodies stop to let everything
reshift and allow the skin to catch up. I don't know what to tell
you about your bottom, I can tell you that I have noticed that
my left stomach seems larger than my right since the surgery.
Good Luck, looks like your doing great!

I have to tell you all that your original post made me laugh out loud. I too get freaked out when I can pull the skin from one of my breasts and it looks like a wet paper towel. I can only guess that most or ALL of us are going to be super sensitive about our bodies as we make radical changes to our appearance. I wanted to paint the sky the day I put on my size 28 jeans and they were too big. I avoided jeans like the plague for about 7 years. Now I try to rationalize actually wearing them. Keep doing a great job, Tracie and thank you for putting some humor into my day.
Try going to a chiropractor. They are there to straighten you up. I have seen people with crooked hips and shoulders before and it gets corrected over time while going to a chiropractor. Be careful with jeans now days! They make them so low cut now! I had to take some back too after realizing I could do nothing but stand with out my ass crack hanging out! I guess it would be considered cute if I was thin and wearing a thong. I am down to size 22 and I am still wearing my JMS cotton briefs! Not too cute... Yet. You will be fine. We all have crazy things going on. I am just glad we can share them!
Tracie as far as getting the weight to come off...I know that getting in a lot of protein at least 100 grams and 80-100ozs of water a day will start you back to losing (of course you must excercise at least 3 days a week too) again. It's "VERY" important to do those 2 things. Now as far as the CROOKED BODY thang. Hell I'm stumped on that one myself
