Well I have been on the plateau for 2 weeks and am starting to think I have done something wrong, it all started the same week I joined curves. I went to the PCP to talk to him about being tired alot lately first he said well how many time a week did you go to curves before surgery? well none. How much did you walk before surgery? not much. And you just had major surgery so what do you expect. I guess he is right he said when I get tired it is my body telling me slow down and give me chance to catch up. He did run my blood work though even though I am only 9 weeks post op and my surgeon doesn't do it until 6 months. First he took me off of all diabetes meds and the Labs show that my cholesterol is down from 277 to 195 and triglcerides are down from 303 to 125 how great. He told me I was doing great and was very impressed with those numbers in just 2 months time. Any suggestion on how to break the plateau? Nancy

Nancy, I seem to lose a week, stop a week, lose a week, etc. The only suggestion I have is to stay high protein/low carb. Are you eating carbs like bread, potatoes, rice and pasta? IF yes, don't eat them any more. Carbs like these cause fluid retention which definitely can affect your weight loss. Drink lots of fluids, so very important. Remember too, sometimes our bodies just need a chance to "rest" with the weight loss. It is frustrating when this happens, I know. Mary

i am so happy i found this forum! my surgery was 2/10, and i've lost 60 pounds (give or take). BUT i haven't lost weight in a couple of weeks. i may even have gained a little. i'm seeing a nutritionist on wednesday because i'm afraid i'm eating too much. i started walking (20 - 30 minutes/day), and i wonder if that has anything to do with it. anyway, i'm glad to see this, because i don't know what's up and what's down! post-op feels like i'm learning how to walk all over again...
