Cleaning out my closets...

Wow, I have a big stack of clothes that I cleared out of my closet. I still have so many sizes left. I can wear 18 pants and some of my tops are XL to 2X. It is funny that they all fit. Most of my 2X's are in the pile, but some still look decent. I don't like my clothes to fit to close to my body. I guess I'm still in the hide mode. Who do I think I'm fooling? Have any of you started cleaning out your closets? Do you have trouble parting with your clothes? I have had to make myself put some of my nicest things in the give away pile. What are your plans with your clothes? I want to ask a girl that I know from the ball field, if she wants them, but I don't want to offend her. I don't want her to think, that I think I'm so much smaller than her, because I'm not. I just would like to see someone who is slightly larger than I am use them, because they are nice. How would you go about asking? Thanks, Debbie -35 scale is moving again 2 lbs in 2 day, I think this is a pattern for me.

I've cleaned out my closets a couple of times during the last 6 months. Most things I didn't mind giving up, but a few were hard. The hardest were some things I had bought that just fit and I had always hoped I would get into them. Well, now they are way too big and have never been worn!!! EBay, Support Group, charity .... were routes I used to give them up. Worked out OK so far. Mary

I'm going to clean out my closet this week. Out of necessity. I don't think there is much left that will fit. I'm going to take all of it to the Salvation Army and hope that some good comes from it for the purhcaser and the charity. Eileen

I am so glad to hear that some of you might give your clothes to charity. I am a Manager of a Goodwill store and believe me there are plenty of people that can use them. And I might add thank GOD for Goodwill. I am able to get clothes in the next size down pretty cheap! So all of my clothes go back to Goodwill. I guess you can say I recycle. LOL

I know what you mean. I had to have a friend sit there while I tried on my whole closet and have her tell me nope too big before I could get rid of anything. I have always had such a hard time getting rid of clothes. I think it comes from all the yo-yo-ing for so many years. This time there is no yo-yo. After 2 hours I had 14 bags of nice clothes and we took them to Goodwill. After doing all my laundry I have another 3 bags to take as well. I have even had to get rid of shoes as my feet have gotten smaller. It's hard but a good feeling at the same time. Just kills me to think of all the money tied up in the clothes...ouch! As for now my mother sent me a bunch of clothes that I can wear for a few weeks I hope. I am currently an 18/20 but seem to be losing inches like crazy. I am down 31lbs. and very near that in inches. It's amazing, I'm losing in places I never lost in before. I am missing the boobs though, I didn't have much to begin with and now they are getting smaller too! Oh well that's what Wonder Bras are for...haha! Good luck! Tiff (Lap RNY 2/17/04; 241lbs - 213lbs.)
