Anybody know what it is?

I hope this is not to gross, but I have been waking up with burning pains in my hips, just under the belly roll, and in the upper/outer part of my leg. It is almost like my flesh is on fire. It hurts more to the touch if I try to massage it. Anybody else had an experience like this before. I will be visiting my doc tomorrow, but I was curious if it was something others might have had. Other than that, things are great. The weight is coming off (not as fast as I wish), but it is coming off. I thank God for that. Still not at all sorry I received the blessing of this weight loss tool.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're in pain. I don't have an answer for you either (sorry) - but I will be keeping you in my thoughts . . . please check back in tomorrow & let us know what your doctor said! Amanda

Evelyn, I am not sure if this is the same as what you are experiencing, but for a while, any area of my legs that had varicose veins was painful to the touch, not so severe on the burning side though. I never asked my doctor about it because the pain was gone within a couple weeks. It is probably nothing and I am hoping everything goes well for you.

Go to the doctor right away. Don't ask advice about something that could be serious to anyone other than your doctor. It could be from the anesthesicia, it takes a few months for your body to come back to normal. But... if it's something serious and you wait to have it looked at you could do further damage. I have read hundreds of bios on here and have not seen that. CALL YOU DOCTOR!

Evelyn: Have you seen your doctor yet? I read this post right after you wrote it and I haven't heard of anything like it. Be sure to call your Doc and let us know how your doing. You have been in my thoughts. Eileen

Evelyn: What you are describing is meralgia paresthetica or lateral femoral cutaneous nerve compression. As our weight shifts, this nerve can often become compressed by things like our tummies. I actually had this before surgery and it still flares up from time to time. Its usually treated fairly easily with Elavil or Neurontin. Good luck! Kris
