Hi Everyone, I need lunch ideas. I had my surgery on Feb 11, 2004. I have had no problems with foods but I'm starting to get bored. I have been eating the same foods. Thanks Tina

Have you tried making chicken salad? I had a little piece of breast left from one of those rotisserie chickens. I put celerey, bolied egg, pickle and mayo in it. I put it all in the food processor. It was nice for a change. Have you tried spreading cream cheese on a slice of deli meat and rolling it up? I just had my first salad tonight. I had lettuce, radish, cucumber, green olives, black olives, cheddar cheese, deli turkey breast and one crumbled piece of bacon. It was delicious. It was a small bowel, but it was the first one since surgery. I'm stuffed, but I think it is going to sit well. Debbie -33

Hi Tina, Here's one guaranteed to full you up and high in protein: Three Bean Dish Brown drain, and crumble 1 lb. hamburger 1 lg. can baked beans 1 reg. can any kind of bean (chili bean, kidney, bean, white lake bean, pinto bean, etc.) 1 reg. can any kind of bean (one not previously used) In crock pot, mix beans, hamburger and 1/2 cup Western-Bacon salad dressing. Heat thoroughly. It's kind of like chili, but not. If hamburger doesn't agree with you yet, pick out the beans and sauce and eat that. Very high in protein. Enjoy!
