8 wks out w/a 3 wk platue!
I hit 8 weeks on Thursday and I've been on a 3 week platue I'm starting to feel a little down about it. I know this isn't a race or competition, but I keep thinking to myself "what if this is all I'm going to loose"?! Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that I've lost all that I have (45lbs), but I know I have a ways to go. I feel that I'm doing all that I'm supposed to do, eating right, exercising, getting my protien in, and drinking all my fluids.... so what's the problem? Has this happened to anyone else?
I was stuck for a couple weeks - I stopped weighing myself and just measured - the inches were coming off. I also had to up my calories, along with protein, etc. I was only getting 400-500 cals, and I stopped losing. When I upped it to 800-900 cals, I started losing again. Might just be my goofy metabolism.
Hi I had a 2 week platue but finally broke it last week after doing a 2 day protein train. I just basically drank enough protein drinks to get me up to 60-80 grams 0f protein and drank 128 ounces of water and when my weigh in day came I lost 2lbs finally. I know thats not a lot and I was upset that it wasn't more but at least the scale finally moved. Of course maybe I could've lost more by exercising. It sounds like you are doing evrything right and you have lost more then I have. I have only lost 35lbs so far. You'll conquer that platue real soon just wait and see!! ;0)

Hi Millissa:
Don't feel blue. I'll bet if you go into a store and just try on clothes
you'll be surprised. Always remember that muscle weighs more than
fat. It also burns more calories. So with the excersize you are problably
gaining weight from muscle mass and loosing fat. It will pay off in the
long run because you will burn more calories down the road
I've been through 2 plataeu's since my surgery. I seem to only loose
every 3 weeks. You may find that your actually loosing inches instead
of pounds. I've heard this from alot of people and I've noticed that
my size keeps dropping even though the scale doesn't.

Hi Milissa,
I pretty much have been having the same problem. I have lost 32 pounds in about the same time as you. My friend who had the surgery told me I definitely was not eating or drinking enough so I am trying to increase everything. I have been trying to exercise more. Just keep positive remember you have lost 45lbs and that's great. I feel the same way as you do, but it might just take us a little longer that's all. I keep trying to concentrate on that my clothes are getting very baggy and I am trying to stay off the scale. You are not alone - it will come off. Good luck... Stacey
