I'm also 8 weeks out and have lost 65 lbs! I'm doing well now, but I've had my problems. I had problems with scrambled eggs, but I've solved that. I also had problems with leftover chicken. I'd eat some for supper, and be OK, but the next day I'd try to eat the leftovers for lunch and it came back up. This happened twice. I think I may have tried to eat too much too fast, but not sure. Now I'm still learning to stop eating too much and learning to stop when I'm full. (So I don't dump) I also had trouble with walking. I strained a tendon in my foot and couldn't walk for about a month. I'm feeling much better now. I've started walking again. I had hit a plateau with the weight loss, and went for about a week without losing any weight, but now it's starting to come off again. Looking forward to corresponding with you all in the future. Hi Tom: Welcome, I am just starting my 9th week and I've had challenges with keeping food down too. Eating slowly and chewing things to death drives me nuts. But it seems to be working. I've had a two week period where I actually gained a pound and an 8 day period where I ' didn't loose weight on the scale. But somehow it seems to be working. I think the next 6 months will be alot of trial and error. Looking forward to hearing from you on the message board, Eileen

I also had about a 2 week plateau. I believe it was I wasn't exercising enough because of my ankle/foot pain. I'm doing better now and been getting more exercise. The scale finally moved again! Thanks for your response, Tom

Hi Tom, Be sure to buy a really good pair of jogging shoes (per my podiatrist), they offer so much more support and shock absorbtion than regular shoes. Your feet will feel much better in them and less prone to injuries. Glad you are doing better. I'm 5+ weeks out. Tried scamble eggs once, they got stuck. Horrible experience, won't try them again for a while. So far I'm doing OK with solid food as long as I eat small bites and really chew. Got sick this afternoon on chicken, but I wasn't paying attention to eating so my own fault. Had shrimp tonight with no problem. Your weight loss is awesome. I'm down 19 lbs since surgery for a total of 69 lbs since last year. I've dropped 5 sizes in this journey which is really neat. Most days I can see the changes in the mirror. Really a good feeling. I wonder if leftovers are harder to digest for some because they may not be as moist as the original. Maybe if you added water and then heated them up in the microwave or added a little cheese before heating that may help. Mary

I've already bought new shoes, and thrown out all my old broken down ones. It seems to be helping. I'm sure we'll work out our food problems in time. It's still pretty early in our journey. We'll get it right eventually. Thanks for your response. Tom

hello all, i am 6 weeks out today and think i have lost around 25 pounds. i won't know for sure until i go back to doc for my 6 week check up tomorrow. i do know i have gone down 2 sizes in pants...yehhh.. I have no problem with anything i have tried to eat as long as i eat slow and slow is the key. i set a kitchen timer at home for dinner and make myself take 25 minutes to eat unless i am satisfied before that. i can still only eat about 2 oz at a time. scrambled eggs are the only thing i have not been able to tolerate. i even tried them with cheese and mushrooms and yukkk..i didn't throw up but they did not sit well at all. from what i have been told a plateau is 4 weeks with no loss. i think that when i don't lose for a week it is just my body adjusting. i also wonder most days if i am getting in enough calories. i get in the mindset that i am not hungry so i don't need to eat. the truth as i understand it is that i DO need to eat. my body needs even the minimal amount of calories that we can get in in order for our bodies to shed that fat. OK i am done putting my 2 cents in.....great job on the 65 pound loss!
