Ouch!! Burning sensation when drinking...

7 weeks out and just wondering if anyone has had any problems with a burning and aching sensation in their pouch only while drinking? I follow all the rules, have tried all differant types of fluids and have tried them all either hot, cold, warm or ice cold and I still have this feeling. I don't have the same sensation while eating, but the really bad thing is that this pain is causing me to not drink the correct amount of fluids for the last 3 days. I would really appreciate any help anyone could give me!!!!

Call your doctor. It really is worth discussing with him. You don't want to chance becoming dehydrated. Mary

I'm sorry you're having trouble Melissa, I don't have that problem, my pouch cramps on cold water sometimes, but no burning. Please keep us posted! Stacy

Hi Everyone! I finally called my surgeon's office and my PA told me that I'm having classic symptems of an ulcer! She said I have to use Prevacid for a week and if the symptems don't go away I'll have to have another endoscopy. I tell you what, I go from no problems at all to a whopper of one!! Oh well, I guess if you have to do something... do it well!!! LOL Thanks for the replies everyone! Milissa Taylor
