28 is better than nothing I guess....
It's been 4 weeks today since surgery, I feel really good health wise but a little disappointed that I did'nt lose the 30 pounds I had hope for but I did lose 28, so as of today my weight is 257. Have'nt seen that in a while.... I have four more weeks until I go back to work, I'm really hopeing to lose 22 more pounds before then, that will give me a total of 50 pounds in 8 weeks. Guess I better get to walking and moving more. Oh! let not forget the water, which I have a hard time getting in.
Hey, Linda! 28 pounds is GREAT!!! Give yourself credit for doing so well. Do you feel better? Have any of your health problems begun to clear up? Remember what we came here and had surgery for. Don't sweat the weight...it'll come off. Besides, 28 pounds in 4 weeks is fabulous...since when have you ever lost 7 lbs a week before? Cheers, Rusty
You have done great!!!!
My weight loss has been slower than I thought too (10.5 lbs in 13 days) as I was hoping for at least a pound a day. BUT yesterday I realized that the weight loss is great, but not the most important part of my journey. My good health is the main reason I did the surgery.
Yesterday I went to my PCP and was able to drop/stop my daily blood pressure meds. I had stopped one a few months ago after losing 40 lbs (pre-surgery). Now to drop the final one 2 weeks after surgery is a true miracle. I have been on them for years.
Sometimes I think we all focus too much on the numbers on the scale (I'm guilty of this a lot of the time) and forget about the other significant changes in our bodies and the other things we have achieved since having surgery.
