I made it!
RNY 2/20/04, finally figured out how to get to this particular page on obesityhelp.com! I am feeling great and experienced only gas pain the day of surgery, so far so good. I must admit tho' that I have moments of carb craving and succumb to either a SF popsicle or protein drink (my fav Pro Blend 55, Chocolate Fudge) and then get over myself. Actually it's mental and certainly not physical. Imagine that not being hungry...I feel truly blessed and encouraged...knowing that you are all out there in the world triumping and progressing and getting better all the time (so am I) Just wanted to share.
Michelle,
You sound great!! thanks for sharing... i had surgery on the 26th....so far so great... my frustration is the slow activity.. i am going crazy sitting around. Where did you get Pro Blend? Is it good? I could not made it whithout SFpopsicles... they seem to settle my tummy. thanks for posting.

Congratulations!!!!! You go girl! I got a sample of the Pro Blend 55 from www.vitalady.com - she's got a bunch of protein powders, etc. for bariatric support, please check out her website ASAP, went through several brands and really enjoy this one. Locally, found it at The Vitamin Shoppe, (they are online as well) not sure if you have that particular retailer in your neck of the woods but I would advise first sampling it (and others if you can) and then committing to the full size of whatever you find that you like. Cause as you know our taste buds have changed drastically and nothing is the same for me (at least). Another source for vitamin supplements that are chewable (esp. Iron and Calcium Citrate) is www.bariatricadvantage.com, they have forumulas that are especially designed for our 'pouches' and digestion. Take care - M
