I am trying to walk as much as i can i think i will do more each day. My family and Hubby are a big help . My hospital stay was horrible!!!!! The nurses were bad and rude and non caring to me and my roomate. No one should be treated like that.I am having a hard time sleeping can't wait to sleep on my side again. Gotta go have a Protien Shake~ I can see some inches comeing off already. Bye Jill

Congrats Jill. I had my surgery on the 19th of this month and am suffering from only a few things. I think my progress has been slowed somewhat because I had a rather major accident with a treadmill only 3 days before WLS. I'm more in pain from that than anything. I'm sorry your hospital stay was not a good one. The nurses at my hospital were OUTSTANDING. Each and every one of them. Also they only have private rooms and they are on a new women's wing so it was REALLY nice. Take care, Tamara in Texas

Congratulations on your surgery. I had mine on 3 Feb and have lost 24 lbs. Your appetite will come back although it won't be anything like it was before. The more you move around the less sore you will be. Most of my pain was gone within a week. It took me two weeks before I could actually sleep on my side again. It was so nice. Now, I just hop from one side to the other with no pain. It is amazing how quick you get over the pain. Let me know when you are three weeks out, how you are doing. It really is amazing the difference a couple of weeks makes. Best of luck to you.

Hi Jill. I had my surgery 2/2 and I know exactly what you're feeling. My back was so sore from not getting good rest and I hated not being able to sleep soundly. Slept in a recliner for the first week then moved to the couch. That allowed me to sleep a lot better because I was able to lean against the back of the couch, also use it to pull myself around. After a week of that I was able to get back into bed. First night there I slept for 12 hours ! Don't worry, before you know it you'll be sleeping great and able to shift without a problem. Sorry about your hospital stay, just remember EVERYONE is a patient sooner or later ! Good luck !
