I'm sick!!

Ok, my surgery is not until Wed., and I'm already so nervous that I'm making myself sick. I've thrown up twice today from thinking about the surgery so much. I'm excited also I don't know whats wrong with me, I just wish Wed. was here right now so I wouldn't have to wait any longer. The waiting is driving me . Anyone have any encouraging words. Thanks!!

Hi Tammy my surgery is Wed. too. and I'm also nervous but my frieds all came over today and keep me laughing so much I didn't even think about my surgery until now and I'm pretty nervous to. I will pray for you on Wed.and keep you in my thoughts. I'm having my surgery in Lubbock and I will be leaving tomorrow for Lubbock. So see you on the other side. Where are you having your surgery? I'm having my surgery in Victoria, and I'm leaving Tuesday afternoon for my pre-op tests. I will pray for you too. Good Luck!!!

Hi Tammy. My surgery was this past Tuesday. I was TERRIFIED myself but im glad to say IM HERE! this was my first visit ever in the hospial and im 32 yrs old. I was scared i wouldnt have a very high pain tolerance but everything went fine. My tummy was just a little sore not bad at all. Now my sister had this done the same day as me (RICHELLE SMITH) and she was a little more sore than me but the nurses were quick to fix all our pains and we were able to come home after 2 days like scheduled. So hang in there. I will pray for you. I hope this helps ease your mind at least a little. OH and how could i forget??? ITs only been 6 days and iv lost 20 pounds!

You will be fine!!! My surgery was on 2/3/04, and I was the same way. Crying constantly, not sure what I was doing was the right thing. Here I am 3 wks post, and so happy!!! Good luck and i'll keep u in prayer!! Tracie

I was where you are now!! The best thing for me to do was talk about it and keep busy! I went to the movies, hung out with my kids, talked about it with my family and read profile after profile!! Be encouraged and get you some rest before surgery!!!!
